Beating the Blues is the most widely used and evidence-based online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) program for the treatment of mild and moderate depression. Available from your GP, it is free for adults living in New Zealand. 

Delivered via ManageMyHealth, Beating the Blues has been used by helped thousands of kiwis to overcome depression and anxiety. 

The program is made up of 8 weekly sessions each lasting 50 minutes. It is interactive, completely confidential and can be completed at any time that suits you. Because it is online, Beating the Blues can be accessed via your mobile, tablet or computer.

Beating the Blues has been clinically proven in independent randomised controlled trials. It has been recommended for use in the National Health Service, UK by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence.

Beating the Blues is funded in New Zealand by the Ministry of Health and implementation is consistent with evidence-based best practice guidelines. Free access to the online programme is prescribed by GPs and managed through ManageMyHealth with accredited trainers offering training to practices in their area.
